A superb team performance yesterday ended with Ballyroan bringing the Jack Delaney Cup home to Ballyroan! The final score was:

(Arles-Kileen) 0-7 : 0-10 (Ballyroan Gaels)

Congratulations to all involved, players, committee, selectors, fans and sponsors. A special mention for John Madigan who gave a man of the match performance at centre back, marking Brian 'Beano' McDonald. 

The team received a fantastic welcome home to Ballyroan after first parading through Abbeyleix, and then the team dinner in Abbeyleix Golf Club. There were scenes reminiscent of '92 with the team boarding a trailer to show the Delaney Cup to the great crowds that lined the streets of Ballyroan. Fireworks and a huge bonfire lit up the night sky as the celebrations begun in earnst.
